He draws on nearly a decade of experience as an institutional investor.\r\n\r\nPrior to joining Lead Edge in 2026, Ryan was Head of Private Equity at the Pennsylvania Public School Employees’ Retirement System (PSERS) and, before that, Head of Venture Capital and a member of the Private Markets Investment Committee at the State of Michigan Retirement System (SMRS). In those roles, he led portfolio construction, manager selection, and co-investments across venture, growth, and buyout.\r\n\r\nRyan began his career on Wall Street as a sell-side research analyst at Morgan Stanley covering enterprise software. He then moved into strategy and corporate development roles at Oracle and SAP, before joining Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he oversaw strategic partnerships with emerging technology companies and the broader venture capital community.\r\n\r\nRyan holds a B.A. in Economics and History from Georgetown University and an M.B.A. from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California.\r\n\r\nRyan is based in Philadelphia.\r\n","https://www.linkedin.com/in/ryanrathman/",[],"Ryan Rathman | Team | Lead Edge Capital",1792769819173]
