Jerry Koljenovic

Jerry joined Lead Edge Capital in 2011, serving as Financial Controller for nearly two decades. Prior to Lead Edge, he held multiple roles in the finance department at Eastern Advisors and before that in the operations department at Tiger Management. Jerry received his B.S. from Pace University.

Jerry was one of the hardest workers the firm has ever known. For nearly two decades, Jerry was in the office before almost everyone arrived in the morning and was often the last to leave at night. He was known throughout Lead Edge for his warmth, his generosity of spirit, and his genuine care for the people around him.

Jerry had a special gift for making people feel at home, particularly those who were new to the firm. He took the time to know everyone on a personal level, asking about their lives, remembering the details, and showing up with warmth and encouragement. Many members of the Lead Edge family credit Jerry as one of the first people who made them feel they truly belonged, and that is a legacy that will stay with this firm long after his passing.

Jerry was a man of tremendous vitality and brought an infectious love of life to everything he did. He loved to cook and took real pride in sharing that with the people around him, bringing fresh vegetables from his garden and preparing food with the same generosity that defined everything he did. He loved surfing, exercise, his beloved tomato garden, and above all else, his family. He spoke of his daughter Lara constantly and with enormous pride.

Even as he faced a serious illness over the last several years of his life, Jerry never stopped showing up, literally and in spirit. He kept working and responding to every note and invitation with the same warmth he always had and kept putting smiles on the faces of everyone around him.

He was beloved by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him, and the lessons he modeled in how to treat people will stay with this firm for years to come. A true friend, a trusted colleague and an inspiring leader, Jerry embodied the spirit of Lead Edge Capital. He is deeply missed.
