Jim Schneider

Jim is currently an Operating Partner at Lead Edge, where he brings decades of experience in capital allocation, corporate finance, and strategic planning. Jim currently serves as the Chairman of Horizon Bank, a privately held bank in Austin, Texas.

Prior to joining Lead Edge in 2012, Jim was the Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Dell Inc. until his departure in 2007. In this role, Jim was responsible for all controller functions, planning, tax, treasury operations, investor relations, corporate development, real estate, risk management and development of internal audits. In addition to his finance responsibilities, he also served as Dell's Chief Information Officer. Additionally, Jim held various roles at MCI Communications Corporation and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Jim previously served on the boards of Lockheed Martin and Gap Inc.

Jim received his B.S. in Accounting from Carroll University.

Jim is based out of Austin, Texas.
